RESIDENTIAL BEHAVIOUR REHABILITATION FOR REACTIVE DOGS

Here at F.E.T.C.H, our Board & Train programmes are now exclusively dedicated to dog reactivity. Your dog stays with us in comfort and luxury at our dog hotel while we do the heavy lifting.

ADULT DOG REACTIVITY PROGRAMME (4 WEEKS)
This four-week residential programme is built specifically for dogs who struggle with reactivity on walks. If your dog barks, lunges, or completely loses focus when they see other dogs, people, or passing cars, this is where we turn things around.
During their stay, we focus on:

SEVERE REACTIVITY PROGRAMME (6 WEEKS)
For dogs with severe reactivity, deep-seated fear, or a history of intense reactions to their environment.
Six weeks gives us the time to go slow, build a deep layer of trust, and thoroughly work through their behaviour across multiple real-world environments.
These are the cases where the reactivity has been going on for a long time, where the anxiety runs deep, or where previous attempts at training haven't stuck.
This programme is built for that weight.
This programme includes everything in the 4-week reactivity programme, plus:

Severe Trigger Desensitisation: For dogs with intense, long-standing reactions.

Real-World Proofing: Taking the training out of the facility and into busy parks, town centres, and challenging public spaces.

ABOUT OUR BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAMMES
Confidence & Reward-Based Training
Reactivity is almost always driven by fear, frustration, or a lack of confidence. That's why we use a positive-first, reward-based approach. No heavy-handed tactics. Your dog will learn through fun games and food-orientated tasks designed to build their confidence and genuinely change how they feel about their triggers.
The Handover: Becoming the Handler Your Dog Needs
We do the hard work of changing your dog's habits during their stay. But when your dog comes home, the consistency is on you, and that's the point. You're not hiring us to fix your dog. You're hiring us to show you how to be the handler your dog needs.
On collection day, you'll get a detailed training report and a hands-on 2-hour handover session. We'll show you exactly how to handle your dog, how to read their body language, and how to keep their progress going. You'll leave knowing what to do. That part matters as much as anything we do during the four or six weeks.

F.E.T.C.H works with reactive dogs from across Cork including Midleton, Cobh, Carrigtwohill, Youghal, and surrounding areas.
IMPORTANT
All Board and Train dogs must be picked up & dropped off by the owner.
Residential Training Refund Policy
Once accepted for the Board & Train program, you will receive an invoice from F.E.T.C.H DOG TRAINING for the total Board & Train payment. The full payment is due in order to secure your dog’s reservation.
The total Board & Train fee includes a non-refundable €300. The remainder of the Board & Train fee is 100 percent refundable up until 30 days prior to your dog’s scheduled drop-off date. If you cancel your Board & Train program between 15-30 days prior to the drop-off, 50 percent of the remaining fee becomes refundable. If you cancel within 14 days prior to the scheduled drop-off date, no refunds will be given.
